Tanuman Festival During Biniranyan

According to the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPA) the seven (7) associations that participated in the Tanuman Festival 2021 earned almost Php one (1) million.

This associations includes; Antique Garden’s Club Inc., Antique Plant Sell & Exchange Group, Antique Plant Enthusiants Community, Antique Plant Hobbyist, Bonsai Sueseki Club of Antique, Antique Plant Collectors, and United Fishkeepers in Antique, all of these have a total of 143 members.

It can be recalled that this event was initiated by Governor Rhodora Cadiao through the Office of Provincial Agriculturist who aims to help Antiqueño small and medium enterprises ,especially, in cutflower industry to have their income ,even during pandemic.

Mrs. Cecilia Ibañez, from Pis-anan, Sibalom and a member of Antique Garden’s Club Inc., thanked the provincial government for organizing this annual festival, which she said helped them a lot, especially, in their daily needs.

“Bahol nga bulig sa mga plantitas ang inyo gintugro rugya nga lugar kanamon. Makatugro man kalipay sa mga taho nga naga agto rugya. Amo ri-a ang benefits nga biskan kami nga mga plantitas bahol bulig sa amun pangabuy-an ilabi ron gid sa kadya nga pandemya,” Ibañez stated.

This year, the provincial government provides each associations a free services which includes booth with electricity, construction of entrance and exit, nets, water hose, and Covid-19 essentials.

This event also aims to encourage Antiqueño plantitas and plantitos to continue to do planting of various plants in order to make Antique a Go Green province.

Tanuman Festival was held last December 1-21, 2021 during the celebration of Binirayan Festival.
