Officers of the Veterans Federation of the Philippines paid a courtesy call to Governor Rhodora J. Cadiao yesterday to discuss dedicating a ward to the veterans and their dependents at the Angel Salazar Memorial General Hospital (ASMGH). Last December 6, 2021, Undersecretary Ernesto G. Carolina signed the accreditation of ASMGH to Veterans Memorial Medical Center. While an entire ward cannot be allotted due to the influx of Covid-19 patients, Gov. Cadiao said that a six-bed hospital room will be prepared for the veterans’ use.

Guv distributes aid to 989 San Josenhon Tricycle Drivers

Nine hundred eighty-nine (989) Tricycle Drivers from San Jose de Buenavista received Php2,500 each from the provincial government under the administration of Governor Rhodora Cadiao and from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

According to PYDO head, Irish Mae Manlapaz, the educational assistance is set to be distributed this month as requested by Governor Rhodora Cadiao.

Gov. Rhodora Cadiao distributes financial assistance to residents of Tibiao and Barbaza who were affected by typhoon Paeng.
A total of 200 beneficiaries were catered yesterday at Tibiao Municipal Gym. According to PSWDO staff, Carla Butiong, these are those who were left out or who have not received any financial aid from the government. She added that Gov. Cadiao personally shouldered the fare of the beneficiaries who came from Barbaza.

October 24, 2022 Farmer in Patnongon town harvests his first Golden Rice A farmer from Patnongon, Antique harvested his first Golden Rice last October 20, 2022. “Sa akon experyensya parehas lang ang pagpreparar, tanom kag pagsagod kang Golden Rice komparar sa iban nga klase kang paray, (Based on my experience, the preparation, and planting of Golden Rice is the same with the other varieties of palay.)” said Rogelio, a farmer from Patnongon, one of the first to plant golden rice in the province.
