Another promise fulfilled by Governor Rhodora Cadiao during her administration, for the first time employees of the provincial government now receive their salary step increment.

This move by the provincial government is anchored on the DBM-CSC Joint Circular No. 1, Series of 2012.

Mrs. Betty Yumul, Provincial Government Assistant Department Head Officer, Human Resource and Management Office, said that all employees of the provincial government will avail of the said increase. The said step increment will depend on the length of service of the qualified personnel on or every three years of continuous satisfactory service in his or her present position on the government.

Mr. Rey Penorio, Crafts and Trade Helper, Provincial Engineer’s Office was very thankful to Governor Cadiao because he stayed 7 years as a contract of service and last 2015 Gov. Cadiao promoted him as a permanent employee of the Provincial Engineer’s Office and now, he will receive his step increment.

“Gapasalamat gid e ako kay Gov tungod nga bahol gid dya nga bulig kanamon nga gamay lang ang nabaton nga sweldo, kag pasalamat ako kay Gov. tungod nga tana man ang nag promote kanakon nga mag permanent ako rugya sa probinsya kag sa kadya tungod kana mga empleyado sa capitolyo makabaton run man kang step increment,” Penorio said.

Mrs. Margiore Alba, Admininstrative Aide III, Governor’s Office said that in her 15 years in service as a permanent employee, she is grateful that this year they will be able to receive their step increment.
“Happy gid e ako kay biskan salary grade 3 lang ako ma-elevate man ang akon sweldo biskan sa gamay lang nga pamaagi tungod nga gintugruan gid ni Gov kang talupangod,” Mrs. Alba said.

“As a government employee, bahol gid akon pagpasalamat, specifically, kay Gov Cadiao tungod nga sa 20 years ko nga empleyado regular ukon permanent employee kang provincial government, this is the first time nga makabaton kag na implement ang step increment dya sa probinsya kang Antique. Kami nga mga empleyado buhay run ginahandom nga ma-avail ang dya nga step increment kag this year nalab-ot gid man tungod sa pagpatigayon kang atun pinalangga nga gobernadora nga may pag-ulikid gid sa mga empleyado nga buhay run rugya sa gobierno probinsyal,” said Roy Questorio, Cooperative Development Specialist II, Provincial Cooperative Development Office.

According to some employees of the provincial government, the step increment has been proposed several times by previous Governors of the province, but, they were unable to implement the said increase for the provincial employees.
