The Provincial Government of Antique through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) assisted residents from the northern municipalities of Antique who asked financial assistance from the Governor at the Provincial Satellite Office, Culasi, Antique.

Governor Rhodora "Dodod" Cadiao also assisted the residents, who want to avail the Medical Assistance to Indigent Program (MAIP) and Aid to Individual in Crisis Situation (AICS).

In addition, Mrs. Rhoda Tutor from Centro Sur, Culasi received Php2, 000.00 and Ana Marie Estorbo from Bita, Culasi received Php 5,000.00 as their partial financial assistance from the provincial government through AICS.

Mrs. Janette A. Matillano from Idiacacan, Pandan and Mr. Dennis S. Valde from San Antonio, Culasi received a wheelchair from the Governor.

Mr. Mario Tamba, a resident from Centro Norte, Culasi- was given a free dialyzer for his dialysis and he also received a Sari-sari Store worth P5,000.00 from the "Project Pangkabuhayan" of the Governor.

PDAO celebrates the 40th National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week

July 24, 2018- Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO) organized an event for the Persons with Disabilities with a theme "Kakayahan at Kasanayan para sa Kabuhayan Tungo sa Kaunlaran" at the Evelio B. Javier Stadium.

The activity was in celebration for the 40th National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week which aimed to promote the skills and capabilities of PWDs.

The main concern of the event was to uplift the social welfare of the community.
The first part of the program started with an invocation given by the selected students from Antique Integrated School followed by the Philippine National anthem and the Provincial theme song. The celebration was attended by various government officials--- Hon. Rhodora J. Cadiao, Governor Province of Antique; Engr. Edgar D. Denosta, Vice Governor Province of Antique; Hon. Fernando C. Corvera, SP Member; Engr. Elmer C. Untaran, Municipal Mayor of San Jose; Mrs. Judy N. Malunda, OIC-PSWD Officer; Mr. Paulo Castillo, Designated PDAO Head.

Vice Governor Denosta welcomed and congratulated the participants. In his message, he said that "Tatapun kag palanggaon gid naton ang mga PWD."

Governor Dodod Cadiao added that "Tunay nga pag- aruga kag tunay nga malasakit para kananda." She also mentioned about the programs for differently disabled persons. "Kung ang program desk niyo para gid sa kaaraydan kang mga PWDs itao gid ang budget nga para sa inyo."

On the other hand, the second part of the program was intended for PWDs to showcase their talents in the "PWD's Got Talent, The Concert". Candidates from 13 municipalities together with Antique Integrated School joined "The search for Miss Inclusion Advocate" to be held in the evening.

Kabalaka Kang Gobernadora sa mga Lolo kag Lola

Provincial Government of Antique distributed financial assistance to thirty-four (34) recipients of Kabalaka Kang Gobernadora sa mga Lolo kag Lola program with a total amount of Php 96,000.00 and a total of Php 19,000.00 to four(4) Aid to Individual in Crisis Situation (AICS) recipients.
SP Member Fernando “Nanding” Corvera also attended the said distribution.
Every Tuesday, the provincial government also provides free Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar check-up for all Antiqueños at the lobby of the New Capitol, San Jose, Antique.
