HIV/AIDS Cases in Antique Continue to Rise

As of May 2017, there are a total of 84 reported cases of HIV/AIDS in the province of Antique. It increased from 67 of December 2016. This is according to the official statistics recorded since January 1986 released by the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) of Antique through its satellite office, HIV and AIDS Core Team (HACT).
The town of San Jose has the most number of reported cases with 20, followed by Hamtic with nine, and Culasi with eight cases.
Out of the 84 reported cases, 82 of these are males and two are females. Forty-three of these belong to the ages 25 to 34 years old, while 27 of these are from 15 to 24 years old.

Bloodletting Activity in celebration of the 117th Anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service

 The Civil Service Commission Antique Field Office headed by  Vizur-Ty C. Gaitano in partnership with the Council of Human Resource  Management   Practitioner of Antique (CHRMPA)  headed  by Diovanne-Silverio E. Amedo together with the  Philippine Red Cross – Antique Chapter held a bloodletting   activity in connection with the celebration of the 117th  Anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service  with a theme: “Tugon sa hamon ng pagbabago: Malasakit ng lingkod bayani” last September 29, 2017 at the DepEd Division Office Binirayan Hills, San Jose, Antique.

Malandog Marker Will Have a New Face

 The Antique Provincial Tourism Office, headed by Mr. Jose Ramlo Villaluna, in cooperation with the National Commission on Culture and the Arts (NCCA), will renovate the Malandog Marker in Hamtic as part of the provincial developmental projects for the upcoming Binirayan Festival in December.
