The Medical Mission Matters Philippines has served 53 beneficiaries with cleft palate and cleft lip yesterday January 31 in a medical mission which consist of the removal of sutures for those who have already undergone the surgical operation.

The Medical Mission Matters led by Pepito Miagao together with Persons with Disability Affairs Officer (PDAO) headed by Paulo L. Castillo with the support of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) headed by Lazaro G. Petinglay and also attended by OIC Governor Fernando C. Corvera in behalf of Governor Rhodora J. Cadiao attended the program.

The hospital and the Provincial Health Office together with the Angel Salazar Memorial Hospital staff provided the needed workforce.

“The next medical mission is scheduled on the 3rd week of March to Antiqueños who have not yet availed of the service", said Miagao

The medical mission provided pre- and postoperative medicines and medical supplies required for the pre- and post- operation care. It also shouldered the patients’ transportation and meals. It served poor children with facial deformities, particularly cleft palate and cleft lips.
