(monuments, sails and historic rivers)
Hamtic, though a sleepy community is a place full of relics that are of great significance to Antique’s history- the Malandog Marker tells the story of the Ten Bornean Datus, the Campo Santo of the Spanish Regime and Gen. Leandro Fullon Shrinedepicting the birth of the Republic, and the Evelio B. Javier statue at Brgy. EBJ, his birthplace, among others.
Relive the story of the past as you join the onlookers at Malandog beach while the re-enactment of the Binirayan-the sailing and barter of the land- is being staged. The lighting of the 18 torches at the Malandog Marker symbolizes the unity and bonded devotion of the province’s leaders.
Feel the pride of the Hamticanons as they sing their song with gusto: “Hamtic matahum kag mainuswagun nga banwa, sa imong baybayan Binirayan nakilala…”
