In the face of the seeming turmoil and confusion generated by the Supreme Court ruling reinstating Governor Exequiel Javier as the governor of the Province of Antique hereby upholding his proclamation in the 2013 election and that setting aside his disqualification as ordered by the COMELEC, the entire Provincial Government and its bureaucracy continues to normally function and operate in the discharge of the duty and obligation to serve the people of the Province of Antique.
The provincial capitol adheres to the rule of law and respects the judicial system and jurisprudence in our country such that until the remedy of appeal and the motion of reconsideration has been accepted by the COMELEC and other parties affected, and until a final writ of execution has been issued by the Supreme Court, the sitting Governor Rhodora J. Cadiao continues to discharge her function as such- signing documents, papers, vouchers and the like necessaryfor the day to day function of the entire machinery of the Provincial Government.
Likewise she continues to represent the Office of the Governor in all official and public functions as mandated by the Constitution, the Local Government Code, and other pertinent laws.
